g77 doesn't accept some particularly nonportable,
silent data-type conversions such as LOGICAL
to REAL (as in A=.FALSE., where A
is type REAL), that other compilers might
quietly accept.
Some of these conversions are accepted by g77
when the -fugly-logint option is specified.
Perhaps it should accept more or all of them.
