7.47 COSH — Hyperbolic cosine function

Description:

COSH(X) computes the hyperbolic cosine of X.

Syntax:

X = COSH(X)

Arguments:

X	The type shall be REAL.

Return value:

The return value is of type REAL and it is positive ( \cosh (x) \geq 0 ). For a REAL argument X, \cosh (x) \geq 1 . The return value is of the same kind as X.

Example:

          program test_cosh
            real(8) :: x = 1.0_8
            x = cosh(x)
          end program test_cosh
