Due to the lack of documentation found regarding this kernel issue, we can only provide limited information about which kernels are impacted: kernel version 5.3.18 is known to be impacted, and kernels in the 5.14 range or newer are believed to fix this problem.
The bug affects the debugging of 32-bit processes on a 64-bit system.
Symptoms can vary: Unexpected SIGABRT signals being received by
the program, “The futex facility returned an unexpected error code”
error message, and inferior programs hanging indefinitely range among
the symptoms most commonly observed.
